Anduril has won an up to $2.9 billion Navy contract to build Virginia-class submarine components days after co-founder Palmer Luckey was named to a Pentagon weapons task force. The company is also investing $3.7 billion in a new Maryland shipyard expected to open in 2030.

The Pentagon named Luckey to the new initiative, which also includes former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk.
Anduril, known for autonomous drones, is moving into conventional submarine components.

PlayStation will launch a Crunchyroll anime hub on PS5 in spring 2027 that links anime discovery, games, and app access. The feature expands an existing Sony-Crunchyroll partnership that already includes memberships and an upcoming Ghost of Tsushima anime series.
