Meta Rolls Out Stablecoin Payouts for Creators
Meta begins rolling out stablecoin payouts to select creators, allowing them to receive earnings in USDC on the Solana or Polygon blockchains.

The feature launches first for a limited group of eligible users in Colombia and the Philippines. Creators link a crypto wallet to access payouts, according to a Meta website.

Payments firm Stripe supports the program and provides crypto-related reporting. Creators receive tax documents from both Meta and Stripe tied to earnings and digital asset transactions. A Stripe spokesperson confirmed the company's involvement.

CoinDesk reported in February that Meta sought third-party vendors like Stripe for stablecoin payments integration.

The initiative follows Meta's shutdown of its Libra, later Diem, project amid regulatory scrutiny.
