SAP and NTT said they intend to cooperate on SAP Sovereign Cloud and SAP Business AI; the companies gave no financial terms or timeline.

SAP and NTT announced Oct. 28 that they intend to cooperate on SAP Sovereign Cloud and SAP Business AI, in a joint release datelined Tokyo. The companies described the cooperation as planned and gave no financial terms, timeline or named markets.
Our customers are looking for practical ways to use AI to solve real business challenges and create new value.
As an initial step, the two plan to offer sovereign cloud capabilities that combine SAP Sovereign Cloud On-Site, which lets SAP-managed cloud solutions run in a customer-owned or customer-selected data center, with NTT-managed infrastructure and operations for customers in "key markets." The target customers include governments, defense organizations, critical-infrastructure operators and other regulated enterprises.

The companies also said they intend to explore broader opportunities to help those customers adopt AI in a "secure, responsible and sovereign manner." SAP CFO Dominik Asam said the aim is to give customers "a practical path to cloud and AI innovation while maintaining the control, governance and trust they require." NTT CFO Yutaka Sasaki said the combination would help organizations "accelerate business outcomes through AI."

Running it costs real money. APIs, hosting, time. To keep improving the site and growing this into something useful for everyone, those costs have to be covered.

Any contribution is appreciated. If not, no pressure. Thanks for reading.
