QSSR adapts PSSR for hardware without neural silicon. The standard PS5 lacks the Pro's 300 TOPS of specialized compute and INT8 instructions. Sony rebuilt the system around FP16 calculations, a simplified neural network, and hand-optimized code to run on available instructions.
